
Welcome to the 83rd Okazaki Conference on CPPF2026
We are delighted to welcome you to the International Conference on Circularly Polarized Photonics for Interdisciplinary Chiral Sciences (CPPF 2026), which will be held November 15-17, 2026, at the Okazaki Conference Center, Institute for Molecular Science, Okazaki, Japan.
CPPF 2026 aims to provide an international forum for discussing cutting-edge research on circularly polarized photonics and related chiral phenomena. The conference will bring together leading scientists from academia and industry working in diverse areas, including chiral molecular science, supramolecular chemistry, photonics, spin science, bioimaging, and optoelectronic devices. Through interdisciplinary discussions, we hope to stimulate new collaborations, inspire innovative concepts, and foster the emergence of a new scientific framework for interdisciplinary chiral sciences.
We sincerely hope that CPPF 2026 will offer an exciting opportunity for participants to exchange state-of-the-art research results, establish international networks, and shape future directions in this rapidly evolving field. We look forward to welcoming you to Okazaki.

Aim & Scope

Circularly polarized light (CPL) has emerged as a highly interdisciplinary research field spanning chemistry, physics, materials science, and life science. Owing to its close relationship with molecular chirality, spin polarization, optical information processing, and biological responses, CPL has attracted increasing attention as a fundamental and applied research topic.
In recent years, the conventional framework of CPL generation based solely on the intrinsic chirality of molecules has been significantly expanded. Growing interest has focused on external-field-responsive CPL, in which circularly polarized emission is induced or controlled through magnetic fields, electric fields, pressure, temperature, and other external stimuli. These advances have opened new avenues for dynamically manipulating chiroptical properties and exploring symmetry-breaking phenomena beyond traditional molecular design.
At the same time, the chirality-induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect, which describes the spin-selective transport of electrons through chiral structures, has provided a new physical perspective on the fundamental origins of CPL and related chiroptical phenomena. The CISS concept is fostering strong connections among molecular science, chiral photonics, spintronics, and quantum devices, thereby expanding the scope of CPL research into emerging frontier areas.
Furthermore, recent studies have revealed CPL responses originating from biological supramolecular architectures and have demonstrated the potential of circularly polarized luminescence and fluorescence probes for bioimaging and biosensing applications. These developments highlight the growing convergence of chemistry, physics, and biology through the common language of chirality and polarized light.
This conference aims to provide an international forum for discussing the latest advances in CPL, chiral photonics, spin-related phenomena, and biochiral systems. By bringing together leading researchers from diverse disciplines, the meeting seeks to establish a new academic framework of Interdisciplinary Chiral Science, promote cross-disciplinary collaboration, and stimulate the creation of innovative concepts that will shape the future of chirality-related research.

Scientific Program
CPPF2026 will feature 6 invited lectures from overseas and 29 invited lectures from Japan, covering the latest advances in circularly polarized photonics and interdisciplinary chiral sciences.
The oral program consists of invited presentations only.
Call for Poster Presentation
Poster presentations are open to all participants.
We warmly welcome abstract submissions from students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scientists, as well as established researchers working in related fields.

Abstracts for oral presentations are accepted by invitation only. Invited speakers will receive instructions for abstract submission individually by email.
Institute Tour (Optional)
An optional tour of the Institute for Molecular Science (IMS) will be held on the morning of Nov. 18 of the conference. The tour will include visits to the Research Center for Computational Science and the UVSOR Synchrotron Facility, providing participants with an opportunity to learn about the advanced research infrastructure supporting cutting-edge molecular science.
Participation is free of charge. Additional information will be provided closer to the conference.
